If you’re looking for Lifetime basketball goals but you’re unwilling to shell out too much for one, this is one to consider at only $99 at Amazon.  It’s got a 44” backboard and a telescoping neck that stretches out 7.5 – 10 feet in 6 inch increments.  This also has a 27 gallon base which you can fill up with either sand or water to weigh it down. 

A few tips with this is to fill it with sand instead of water as during the winter the water will freeze.  Additionally, changing the height is a 2 person task. 

As far as the unit itself, for the price, don’t expect to be hanging off the rim of it or getting a good bounce off of the backboard, but still, it serves it’s purpose well enough for the price.

2.  Lifetime 1269 Pro Court Portable Basketball System w/ 44” Acrylic Fusion Backboard

This is the next step up as it costs $199.99 at Amazon.  It has a break resistant acrylic surface which is a great improvement, a polyethylene frame, fade resistant graphics, nylon net, telescoping height adjustment from 7.5-10 feet in 6” increments, 27 gallon base and has the ability to roll on wheels to your desired position.

All in all, this is easy to put together, durable and economical, probably the best all around value.  It doesn’t wobble when you slam the ball into it and will last you quite a while.

3.  Lifetime 71524 XL Base Height Adjustable w/ 54” Shatter Guard Backboard

Out of all the lifetime basketball goals, this is the most expensive at $472.21 on Amazon, however it is also the best quality one out there.

It has a huge 54” shatter guard backboard which provides great rebound, especially with the 35 gallon base filled.  It also can be adjusted from 7.5-10 feet and can be done so easily with it’s “one-hand height adjustment” feature, it’s a squeeze trigger that lets the backboard glide up or down.  This also comes with wheels that you can use to roll it into position and a 5 year warranty.

This will take you 2-3 hours to put together with 2 adults, however once it’s up, it’s a great quality basketball hoop to play with.
